Church Announcements 11/24/08

by Shayne White - 11.24.08

For those of you who couldn’t attend last Sunday’s service, here are the official church announcements from the bulletin:

  • Next Sunday, on the 30th, there will be a potluck lunch after the morning service. We had one a few months ago, and it was lots of fun to visit and talk! Please bring salads, sandwiches, and finger foods to share. Drinks, plates, and utensils provided. Visitors are welcome so feel free to bring friends, relatives, etc.
  • The Women’s Book Club, mentioned previously, will be meeting 6:00pm on Friday, December 5th, at the Starbucks in Larkfield across from Molsberry’s Market. They will be studying “Blue Like Jazz” by Donald Miller. Too bad I’m a guy—it sounds like fun!
  • Christmas is coming soon so the church needs to be decorated to bring in the festivities! If you want to help, there will be a time of decorating on Saturday, December 6th, 9:00am. Bring trees (I’m guessing not real ones), lights, and other decorations and enjoy a fun time with friends while making the church look beautiful. Snacks are welcome.
  • Kathy White is putting on a Christmas Faire at Lavell Village in Larkfield, Saturday, December 13th, 9:00am. Many of us will be involved in sharing God’s love with the families who live there. Candy and toys to give to the kids will be welcome, and there will be games and other activities. We need greeters, face painters, and help with the game booths. And if you’re tense and stressed out, I’ll be doing some chair massage as well! For more information call Kathy at: 707-318-2739.
  • Paul Manwaring from Bethel Church will be at Vertical Call on Sunday, December 7th, 6pm. His passion is to see the Bride prepared, glorious sons and daughters revealed, cancer destroyed, and cities transformed as the government of Heaven is established on Earth.
  • Helen and Dave Kraemer’s “The Voice of God” class has been canceled for Tuesday Night, due to Thanksgiving preparations.

Happy Thanksgiving and have a great week!
