Overcomers – Purple Hearts!
Be encouraged! Every “Impossible Predicament” is a Potential Purple Heart from Papa God!
Impossibilities, trials, and temptations are opportunities to INCREASE the honor or glory we carry with us. Paul said trials are producing for us an “Eternal Weight of Glory,” or honor. 2Cor.4:17
In prayer, I saw a vision of Father God appearing out of the clouds and mist of His glory. He gave me His Signet ring! He was telling me that He shares His authority with us, earthy and imperfect as we are. He literally “Glory-fies” us and uses us to humiliate satan!
We are not a pawn in this battle between God and satan. Our Father is trying to honor us. He wants us to defeat an enemy TOO BIG for us! You see, it is more humiliating to satan to be defeated by us, than by God. We are a lesser being than satan. (Ps.8:4,5) When God indwells us “lesser beings” with His glory and strength, empowering us to defeat satan, this gives God glory and shames satan!
Do we realize this humiliation MUST happen! God MUST take back every ounce of the glory satan tries to steal today, or tried to steal in ages past. (Isaiah 14:13, 14) Satan stole glory from God in the Garden of Eden. (Gen.3) He stole glory from God in heaven’s great battle (Rev.12:7-10).
This is why “where sin increased, grace abounded all the more!” (Rom.5:20, 21) God delights to demonstrate that even sin will serve the glory of God. Because, God increases GRACE to empower us to live above the Sin Structures society is creating! The more awful the Sin Structure, the more potent His grace!
So, God is looking for people who will apprehend His grace; living above sin. The Sin Structures of society cannot conquer us. Instead we rise to higher levels spiritually, destroying the works of the devil! We are bringing everything under the dominion of Christ, so God gets all the glory, all the honor in the Universe!
This warfare brings HONOR to us! Or should I say, God includes us in this warfare to honor us (Psalms149:9). God could squish satan with a fly swatter. Instead, He uses us to defeat satan!
Come on, you Overcomers. Line up for your Purple Hearts!
Right on, Ken! Good stuff! May I add that it’s not just Sin Structures in society that we face: it’s Sin Structures in ourselves. Our own selfishness creates these structures in us, and thereby in society. It’s only by becoming more like Jesus that the Sin Structures can break down in our personal lives, thereby weakening the Sin Structures in society. The more we become Christlike, the greater our participation can be in the battle to take back the world for God. And the more Grace God gives us, the more we are changed into His image! What an awesome God we serve!
