It warms my heart to see a “9″ at the end of today’s date! Do you realize we have less than a year to go before the end of the decade? Each decade has its own personality, I think, and I’m curious as to what the next one will be. We had the 1920s, the 30s, the 40s, the 50s, the 60s, the 70s, the 80s, the 90s, and the 2000s…and each decade was quite different. I’m looking forward to a new year—and a new decade as well—of further growth in Christ and new revelations from His Spirit. And new souls brought into the Kingdom, too!
Moving on from that philosophical note, there are some new announcements to post here:
- The next Women’s Book Club meeting will be at the Larkfield Starbucks on Old Redwood Highway, Friday January 23rd, 6pm. I can’t recall what book they’ll be studying next, so if you have any questions please call Stephanie Lenox: 707-889-2308.
- Melissa Lee will be having a baby shower! Unfortunately for us men, this is also another women-only event. If you wish to celebrate with Melissa as she brings a new human into this world, please arrive at the Windsor Mobile Country Club on Sunday, January 11th at 3pm. - Two boomboxes are needed for the Kingdom Kids rooms. CD player boomboxes are preferred rather than old cassette tape ones. If you have one you would like to donate, please call Phil Smith: 707-542-5996.
- A new church called Connection Church will be using the Grace Sanctuary on Sunday evenings at 5pm for their meetings. Please keep this in mind as you plan meetings or events at the church. Of course I am sure you are welcome to attend the services!
