Grace Fellowship 1.0 beta launch!

Hello! My name is Jared White, and I lead the Web Site & Video Production team at Grace Fellowship. If you’ve never been to our site before, welcome! If you’ve visited a previous incarnation of the Grace Web site, you’ll notice…well, quite a few things have changed around here. Actually, pretty much everything has changed! After a lengthy gestation period, our brand-new Internet presence is finally well underway. Officially, the site is still in beta while we beef up some of the existing content, add more photos, fix some volume problems with the podcast, and so forth. But basically, things are hoppin’ and we’rrrrrrrre off!

A little background: I’ve been a Web designer/programmer/geek for over ten years, both freelance and corporate, and my passion has always been to bring people together as a community in a passionate and innovative manner using the power of the Internet. I started coming to Grace in late 2005, and it wasn’t long before a significant need soon came to my attention: the church needed a better Web site. After some fits and starts, and some difficult events in my life, we finally pulled the team together to get something DONE, and I’m pretty excited about the results so far.

You know, we may be just an average size church in an average American town, but we serve a God who is anything but average. The time for thinking we’re only here to impact a small number of people locally is over. It’s time to stop being club-minded and start being Kingdom-minded!

We believe this new site is major outreach effort for us not just to serve our local community but to make an impact on communities worldwide. The Spirit of the Lord is moving mightily in this time in history, and we are desperate to be a part of this global revival. You have a God-ordained part to play in this as well — no matter who you are or where you are, you are never too small or too insignificant to be a vital key in God’s magnificent plan!

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you come back soon. We’re still assembling our blogging team, but I’ll be posting here regularly as we continue to work on the site and as God continues to do amazing things in our midst. Blessings!

Hi Jared, Just checked out the new site. Looks awesome–you did a great job. It will be so exciting when we are discovered and the first response (or whatever it’s called) is posted. Thank you for all the work. We could not have done it without you and those are not just nice words. God sent you as a co-laborer to make it happen. You have blessed Grace and we are grateful.

    Grateful for you,
    Dianne

Hi Jared, forget to tell you that our last name is misspelled. Should be Luman.
    Thanks, Dianne

    Hey Jared,

WOW…I might not get all the beta stuff, but I do understand the word launch. I see words in picture form so when I “see” launch, I picture a catapult with this website on it. I guess technology is the catapult, and you’ve placed this website on it, pulled it back and sent it soaring through something called cyberspace, at just the right time, landing in just the right spots, Way to go!!

I won’t even go into detail on what blog looks like in picture form….hmm ??

    Hey Jared,
I finally got time to look at our website and agree with you that it is a great improvement! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into it.

I noticed one glaring omission, and I have to take responsibility for that. Hope you can forgive me for not getting the needed info to you. I’m working on it now.
